The inaugural Murray Auto Xtravaganza, (MAX), was the brainchild of Murray Shire President, Mr Noel Nancarrow. Noel’s desire was to create an event that would highlight the wonderful attractions of the Murray and build to be an iconic event for the region.
Held on the lush green football ground of Sir Ross McLarty Oval in
Pinjarra, The first MAX attracted over 150 entrants from all parts of the Metro area, and from around the Southwest.
MAX has something for everyone, there is a wide range of vehicles to look at, from custom classics, hot rods, street machines and motorbikes, to vintage tractors, racing tractors and drag racing cars.
The horsepower competition on the Dyno was fierce, and the sound of high revving engines made it a very popular part of the show.
The whole family will be kept entertained with live music from local bands, kids activities, market and trade stalls and plenty of refreshments available. The town centre is only a 10 minute walk away and we provide a shuttle bus to ferry people into town and take in some of the attractions, or maybe just sit and have a coffee.
